Nane Kratzke is a professor for computer science at the Lübeck University of Applied Sciences in Germany. He his interested in data science, cloud computing, and web scale elastic systems. He holds a PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) from Potsdam University, Germany (Model-driven analysis of business process induced flows of knowledge) and a Masters degree (Dipl.-Inform., Mobile software agents) from German Federal Armed Forces University, Munich. He was employed at the German think-tank IABG and consulted the German Ministry of Defense and the German Air Force in questions concerning network centric warfare as a consulting software architect. Furthermore, he served as Navy officer in the German navy and executed (in addition to military) functions as project leader, software-architect, and software engineer in several software projects for naval command and control systems.
